Horses Are Born Ready. But They Are Not Finished
The piece asks an uncomfortable but necessary question: if human-style emotion is built through that long, language-soaked developmental window, does it even make sense to expect the same kind of emotion in a species whose nervous system arrives largely pre-wired? Are we projecting a very human emotional architecture onto horses when we interpret their behavior through our own lens?

Unlocking the Shoulders —
Lateral flexion is what creates a supple horse. A supple horse is physically and mentally relaxed, moving without tension, resistance, or stiffness. It is capable of bending uniformly from poll to tail (lateral suppleness) and stretching over its topline (longitudinal suppleness), resulting in balanced, elastic, and fluid movement that responds willingly to rider aids.

Power of Presence with Horses
Power of Presence with Horses. What horses need most from us and why. Presence. The most powerful training skill. It's not how much you know. It's how you show up, what you bring to the horse that matters most to them. Presence is what makes a connection, a conversation, and a consensual partnership possible
